As part of Work Package 4, a forecast heat warning web platform for workers and Stakeholders will be developed and will be integrated by a mobile application with customized forecasts (web app) based on the personal characteristics of the worker (height, weight, work effort, clothing) and the work environment (exposed to the sun or in shade areas).

The forecast system (web platform and web app) will have a spatial resolution of even less than 10 km and a temporal resolution with a three-hour or possibly hourly detail, with heat risk forecasts up to 5 days.

After the identification of the appropriate indicators to be used to assess the impact of heat on workers and after a careful assessment of the performance of the most suitable meteorological high-resolution models for the project’s objectives, the forecast system will be available in prototype form operational by the summer 2021.
